new single out now
UK singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Laura Loh returns with her boldest release yet:
“What I Want” - a shimmering alt-pop track that marks a new chapter in her creative journey. Ahead of its official release on 18th June 2025, the single has already been picked up by two BBC Introducing shows. The track is a confident, soul-infused anthem of self-expression, desire, and personal power.
“What started as a song about a girl liking a boy turned into an empowering feminist journey of knowing what I wanted and saying it out loud. For the first time, I felt bold enough to claim it. I finally felt daring and confident enough to go after what I wanted and take a risk.” – Laura Loh
Atmospheric and intimate, “What I Want” fuses ambient electronica with soulful pop. Lush harmonies, expressive synths, and evocative lyrics (“a tattooed guitarist driving me insane”) showcase Loh’s unmistakable vocal tone and range. Loh co-produced the song with MUNBOI (who also worked with her on “City Lights”) and recorded it at his studio Turntable Media in Wokingham.

BIO
Laura Loh is here to share, telling her story in the hope that you’ll be inspired to share yours too.
With a voice as pure as it is powerful, the singer/songwriter crafts her gentle pop tunes with an affecting vulnerability, speaking from personal experience about a range of topics, including mental health and resilience.
As she draws on her mixed English-Chinese heritage and classical training, Loh finds inspiration everywhere, from Bon Iver to Dido and beyond. The multi-instrumentalist and producer blends alt-pop, alternative folk and classical elements to create her own soft pop sound.
Loh has already recorded at Abbey Road Studios and her music has earned praise from BBC Introducing. She has also played a number of festivals, including Purbeck and Weyfest, with GuilFest and Westival lined up for this year.
